A Gender Agenda, Lyneham

Hosted by Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres

This 1 and a half hour workshop allows children to build alternative toys of their dreams, providing a creative space to explore fluidity and multiplicity against the backdrop of traditional gendered roles and responsibilities.

TOY challenges dominant structures and encourages children to explore their own identity. At this free creative development showing, we will test some of the participatory and play elements of the work.

This workshop will be hosted by Tristan Meecham from All the Queens Men in collaboration with project A Gender Agenda. For more details about the workshop please visit our venue partner: https://genderrights.org.au/aga-event/special-event-toy-workshop/

Created by Lenine Bourke, Tristan Meecham and Sam Routledge with M’ck McKeague and Keira Leike.

This edition of TOY is supported by the Capital of Equality grant from the Office of LGBTIQ+ Affairs ACT.
