Heaven was a place where you could be yourself (or anyone else), Drag Kings and Queens performed in exquisite costumes, exhibitions, live music (remember the Dreaming Genies?) theatre shows (remember SPLINTERS?), Burlesque (remember Ms Wicked?), and the best dance music in Canberra!

In the years that followed, hundreds of young local, interstate, and international DJs honed and showcased their skills in the Bak Bar and on the main decks, adding to Canberra’s dance and rave scene’s reputation. Drag, Performance Art, Theatre, and Live Music featured heavily until the club closed on New Year’s Day 2001.

One Night in Heaven will pay homage to those carefree times when we thought we ruled the world and could dance all night.
